VIDEO: Tom Pidcock tumbles over the beams in Benidorm

Sunday's edition of the UCI World Cup took the riders to Benidorm and it was surely one of the most dramatic races of the season so far.

Mathieu van der Poel and Wout van Aert were both involved in late crashes, although the Belgian managed to recover and hold on for victory despite having no saddle on his bike. The bad luck wasn't just extended to those two however. The third member of the so-called 'Big 3', Tom Pidcock also was held up by a crash on the Spanish course.
