Cyclocross star Quinten Hermans has had a very successful season on the road, and he will now replicate a style similar to that of Mathieu van der Poel, Wout van Aert and Tom Pidcock as he begins what should be a season with a reduced calendar.
He will not be the only one, with the likes of Shirin van Anrooij and Zoe Bäckstedt also starting their season in the Belgian race, albeit on separate events to that of Hermans. The Belgian has won the Fayetteville World Cup last year, and has gone on to finish on the podium of Liège-Bastogne-Liège, aswell as the queen stage at the Baloise Belgium Tour and a few more strong results.
He will for the time being race for the Tormans Cyclocross Team, however his upcoming transfer to Alpecin-Deceuninck will see him switch sides, and instead be teaming up with Mathieu van der Poel in the closing stages of the CX season.
