Without competition, Fem van Empel has won the women's Koppenbergcross. The World Champion remains unbeatable in the 2023-2024 season and has taken over the lead of the X20 Badkamers Trofee.
The Dutchwoman immediately hit the front of the race in the first ascent of the Koppenberg, and the gap only grew further throughout the race. With very tough muddy conditions, the riders only tackled three laps but that was enough for van Empel to stamp her authority with a very large gap as she won for the sixth time this season. Denise Betsema and Anna Kay complete the podium.
