The Colombian
Santiago Buitrago of Bahrain Victorious manages to get into the top ten of the Vuelta a España, he is satisfied with what he has achieved and hopes to continue dreaming about the bicycle.
"As I said at the beginning of this grand tour, it is a roller coaster of a lot of things, how it starts, you don't know how it ends and well, the truth is I'm very happy with what I've done in this race, with the pros and cons of everything."
Regarding the general classification and the position of his teammate, he points out: "Mikel was our card. We tried… we wanted fourth place. Movistar was also very close, back then I knew that I had to fight for that position today," says Buitrago and talks about him: "You always want more and at the beginning I was quite excited. But hey, I think that after everything I went through this race, tenth place is not bad at all," says Buitrago.
To conclude, he states: "I think I always say it, this is discipline, dreaming, working hard, enjoying it, you have to love this a lot because you suffer a lot in this sport. Sometimes it's difficult to get there, it's a lot of things, one day you're down, other days you're up, and then enjoy every day, enjoy every training session, enjoy every race."
