The Deutschland Tour returns from August 19th to 23rd with five race days in southwestern Germany. The UCI ProSeries stage race opens with a short prologue in Bad Orb before the peloton heads through Hesse, Baden-Württemberg, and Rhineland-Palatinate, with the overall decided in Heilbronn.
As Germany’s most important stage race, the tour again attracts a strong international field alongside numerous German stars. Below you’ll find all broadcast information for TV and streaming in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.
The race was first held in 1911 under the name Quer durch Deutschland. The premiere covered almost 1,500 kilometers from Breslau to Aachen and was won by the German Hans Ludwig. In the decades that followed, the event had a turbulent history, disappeared from the calendar several times, and returned under different names before finally establishing itself as the Deutschland Tour.

Between 1999 and 2008, the tour experienced another significant era. Overall winners in that period included Jens Heppner, Alexandre Vinokourov, Michael Rogers, Jens Voigt, and Linus Gerdemann. After a ten-year hiatus, the race returned in 2018 and has since grown into Germany’s biggest cycling event, blending elite competition with numerous activities for amateurs and fans.
The recent roll of honor underlines the race’s international stature. Matej Mohorič won the first edition after the relaunch in 2018, followed by Jasper Stuyven, Nils Politt, Adam Yates, Ilan Van Wilder, and Mads Pedersen. Søren Wærenskjold secured the 2025 overall title thanks to remarkably consistent form and also claimed the points and young rider classifications.
