Although
Marianne Vos may have only raced three races so far this year, she and her team
Jumbo-Visma are confident that she can challenge for the overall victory at
Paris-Roubaix Femmes.
Making her Paris-Roubaix Femmes debut in 2021, Vos excelled on the cobbles before ultimately finishing in second place behind Lizzie Deignan.
"Paris-Roubaix is for me a race that stands out on the calendar," she says. "The first edition was very special. I remember we weren't sure what to expect because we only knew it from television."

As mentioned, just three races are in the legs of Vos. Nevertheless she believes she does have some good form. "In Trofeo Binda (20th), Dwars door Vlaanderen (3rd) and the Tour of Flanders (12th) it went well, and I also have a good feeling during training. I want to take that with me to Saturday."
“It is only a short period of racing for me. Paris-Roubaix and the Amstel Gold Race will now follow, two completely different races," Vos continues. "In Roubaix, the preconditions are very important, such as the material and your positioning. On the cobblestones you then have to make it as comfortable as possible, but the end of each stretch is a relief. What is my ambition? I hope to participate in the front."
