The awful luck of Team Jayco AlUla at the 2023 Vuelta a Espana has continued, even on the second rest day they have been affected as Welay Hagos Berhe withdraws the race.
"Another one bites the dust," announces an official statement from the Team Jayco AlUla Twitter account. "Unfortunately Hagos Berhe will not start tomorrow’s stage 16 after testing positive for COVID."
"It’s safe to say we have been very unlucky at this Vuelta, starting with the opening TTT crash," the update continues. "But we will fight on until the very end."
