"We aimed for the top five and managed to secure fourth place" - BORA - hansgrohe can be happy with Matteo Sobrero’s racing debut

The AlUla Tour was Matteo Sobrero’s debut race in the BORA - hansgrohe colours. And while the ambitions were for even greater result, fourth overall after five stages is something the Italian can build on towards upcoming months.

"In fact, I was close to finishing at the very front," Sobrero confirmed in a press release. "This was the first race. If we continue like this, the shape will get even better – and the results will come."

"We aimed for the top five and managed to secure fourth place. With a bit of luck, we could have aimed even higher since Matteo would have had a strong chance in a potential sprint finish. Overall, it was an impressive debut for him," added sports director Rolf Aldag.
