The Vuelta a España 2022's final stage, set to take place in Madrid once again, may have a touch of surprise to it as - according to newspaper 'Marca' - it may ride through the stadium of the Spanish Atletico Madrid football team.
Furthermore, the rumour has it that this could happen in the halftime of a game. A long shot, but one that appears to be considered by the Vuelta a España organizers. The Wanda Metropolitano Stadium has the capacity for almost 70.000 spectators, and the Vuelta a España will be concluded in the 11th of September which will be a Sunday.
Although a lot of racing is yet to take place until the start of the race, at the time being it's expected that both Tadej Pogacar and Primoz Roglic will have a second Grand Tour duel in it, and the likes of Remco Evenepoel, Enric Mas, Richard Carapaz and Nairo Quintana will also be at the start in Utrecht.
