Visma head into Vuelta a Burgos finale full of confidence: "We'll give it our all to help Sepp cross the finish line in the leader’s jersey"

With one stage of the 2024 Vuelta a Burgos to go, Sepp Kuss sits atop the general classification by just 5 seconds. Nevertheless, Team Visma | Lease a Bike have full confidence in their leader.

"As a team, we'll give it our all to help Sepp cross the finish line in the leader’s jersey," Team Visma | Lease a Bike's Edoardo Affini tells his team's official website following stage 4. "It would be a great way to cap off what has been a good week for us here at the Vuelta a Burgos."

In the end, the stage 4 individual time trial was one stylishly by UAE Team Emirates' Jay Vine. As far as Team Visma | Lease a Bike go, the highest finisher was Affini himself, with the Italian finishing second, eleven seconds down on the Australian stage winner.

"It was a good time trial," Affini said afterward. "I put a lot of energy into the first section. The headwind made it quite tough, but I tried to make the most of it. Overall, I think the ride went well, but unfortunately, Jay was faster. He’s a well-deserved winner. It’s a shame to come so close to victory again, but I can be satisfied with my performance today."
