Jonas Vingegaard took his second Vuelta a Espana stage win in four days of racing on stage 16 on an emotional day for Jumbo-Visma.
The Dane attacked with just under 4km to go on the summit finish and such was the viciousness of the attack, no one would see Vingegaard again before the finish line. Extra motivation was given to the Jumbo-Visma riders today after teammate Nathan Van Hooydonck was involved in a serious car accident and put into an induced coma. Thankfully, the latest news around Van Hooydonck is positive.
