VIDEO: Tadej Pogacar's winning attack at the Mur de Huy

Tadej Pogacar soared to victory at the Fléche Wallone, confirming his status as the main favourite. UAE Team Emirates ran a perfect race and in direct confrontation no-one had the legs to beat the winner of the Tour of Flanders and Amstel Gold Race.

The run-up to the Mur was furious and UAE had the front. On the climb itself only Romain Bardet risked it and attacked early, immediately followed by Pogacar himself. The Slovenian looked to be the most comfortable on the steep slopes of the Belgian climb, and in the final 150 meters he launched an acceleration that couldn't be matched by the competition. Mattias Skjelmose was the most direct competitor however even if a deacceleration towards the line, Pogacar was able to take a comfortable win.
