Remco Evenepoel continues to impress on his debut
Tour de France. No one will have expected this however, as the Belgian has attacked with just under 80km to go on the gravel stage 9!
After a testing move by
Tadej Pogacar with around 90km to go, Evenepoel's move was a much more serious attack at 78km to go on a gravel climb. Whilst the Soudal - Quick-Step leader initially breezed clear solo, a few kilometres later, Pogacar and
Jonas Vingegaard launched a counter attack to follow. With the breakaway just around 30 seconds up the road, the superstar have an exciting opportunity to gain massive time on their rivals.
