VIDEO: Mathieu van der Poel breaks down in tears after emotional tribute to Raymond Poulidor

Stage 9, departs from the hometown of one of cycling's all-time greats, the much-missed Raymond Poulidor. Ahead of the depart, his grandson, one of the stars of the current peloton, Mathieu van der Poel paid an emotional tribute.

With the stage finishing atop the Puy de Dôme, it is unlikely that van der Poel will be involved in the business end of the stage. Prior to the start of the day's racing though, he has been front and centre. Check out in the video below as van der Poel is brought to tears as the emotion overcomes him.
