Avenging her narrow defeat to Charlotte Kool on stage 2 of La Vuelta Femenina, Marianne Vos turned the tables and took the sprint win herself earlier today on stage 3.
After an incredibly fast day's racing which saw the stage finish way ahead of schedule a reduced bunch made it to the line with most of the big names still involved. All three of the riders who finished on the podium of stage 2 were there, in the fight again for the stage win.
It was the overall race leader Marianne Vos who launched her move first and unlike 24 hours previously, Charlotte Kool couldn't quite manage to come around the legendary Dutchwoman, this time being forced to settle for second place.
