This week's update features points scored during the last stages of the Vuelta a España, as well as Italian autumn classics such as Giro della Toscana - Memorial Alfredo Martini, Coppa Sabatini, Memorial Marco Pantani and Trofeo Matteotti, the two Canadian classics - GP de Québec and GP de Montréal - and the GP de Fourmies / La Voix du Nord.
You can check the previous update. This week, UAE Team Emirates - XRG is once again the team having scored the most points, specifically 3855. This huge boost comes after the Vuelta a España finished and the GC points were awarded. Joao Almeida got 885, while the rest of his teammates "only" added 30 and 50. Besides, they also obtained many points in the last stages of the Vuelta, even if they didn't get any victory, as they got several top 10 with Almeida and Vine, as well as with the final KOM classification.
However, the main protagonist this week has been Isaac del Toro. The Mexican had already raised his arms at the GP Industria & Artigianato, and this week he continued his triumphant streak, winning three more races, all of them in Italy, and obtaining 650 UCI points on his own.
In Canadian soil, UAE also dominated. It was Sivakov's turn first, with a second place in Québec and 400 UCI points, while in Montréal Brandon McNulty and Tadej Pogacar arrived together and earned 900 UCI points combined, with Adam Yates adding 225 more thanks to his fifth spot.
Team Visma | Lease a Bike was the second best team, obtaining 2730 points mostly thanks to Jonas Vingegaard. The Dane contributed with 1100 points after winning the Vuelta a España overall classification, and 180 more with his victory on stage 20, besides of his second place in the KOM and points classification, adding 130 each.
The Vuelta a España was key this week, as Red Bull - BORA - hansgrohe was the third team earning the most points this week thanks to Jain Hindley and Giulio Pellizzari finishing in fourth and sixth respectively, which gave the team 1015 out of the 1443 they got only with the GC.
Lidl - Trek, XDS - Astana Team and Q36.5 were the other three teams that crossed the 1000 points mark, due to a well-rounded effort in Spain, Italy and Canada. In the case of Q36.5, it was Tom Pidcock single-handedly giving his team almost 100% of the 1050 points they got, thanks to his third position at the Vuelta GC.
In the 2023-2025 rankings we have UAE Team Emirates - XRG with 102.220 points, at the top followed distantly by Team Visma | Lease a Bike with 71.292 and Lidl-Trek with 52.127 points. The next spots remain basically unchanged, with the only exception of Bahrain Victorious overtaking Groupama - FDJ after scoring 501 more points.
The fight to avoid relegation remains exciting, with Cofidis as the best team this week. They overtook Uno-X after obtaining 507 points, while Intermarché - Wanty got 378, Team Picnic PostNL 310 and Uno-X Mobility 234. Still, Cofidis has barely closed the gap with Intermarché, needing more than 1000 points to catch them, same as Uno-X, something that is looking more and more unlikely as time passes by.
Cofidis currently has 24.911 points, almost the same as Uno-X, which has 24.845. They have around one month left to overtake Intermarché, which has 26.174 points, or even Team Picnic PostNL, which enjoys a bigger buffer thanks to the 26.796 points they have.
