Tour of Britain final stage neutralised momentarily for "non-race incident on the road"

The 2023 Tour of Britain comes to a close today but racing on the 8th and final stage has been forced to be momentarily neutralised.

"Race paused due to non-racing incident along the route," says an official announcement from the Tour of Britain's X (Twitter) account. The riders will roll along in a neutralised fashion on a re-routed course to the 89km mark when the stage will get underway once again.

Wout van Aert enters the final stage holding a narrow advantage in the general classification. Can the Belgian hold on and secure himself victory?
