Tour de Pologne sees return of Fernando Gaviria, Ruben Guerreiro co-leads Movistar

Movistar Team has unveiled its team for the Tour de Pologne, which will be raced between Saturday, July 29 and Friday, August 4. The main novelty in the Spanish team is the return of Fernando Gaviria, who has not raced on the road (he has been competing on the track in Colombia preparing for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games) since the last Giro d'Italia.

We'll see what the Colombian sprinter is capable of achieving, who disappointed in the Giro (he barely managed four top 10s and a fifth place as best result in a race with many opportunities for sprinters). This season he has accumulated 2 victories, one at the start of the Vuelta a San Juan and another at the end of April in Romandie. In Poland he will be looking for his third against rivals like Sam Bennett, Tim Merlier and Olav Kooij.

In addition to Gaviria, Rúben Guerreiro, who returns after his early exit from the Tour de France, should be the man for the overall. As an alternative to Gaviria looking for stages or being part of his bunch will be German Max Kanter. In addition, Sergio Samitier, Juri Hollmann, Mathias Norsgaard and road captain Imanol Erviti will race.
