General Classification Standings after Stage 10
The overall classifcation has changed once again today, with
Tadej Pogacar attacking to victory.
Jonas Vingegaard was not able to respond or limit losses, and has lost 44 seconds on the road alone to the Slovenian. The gap is now of 3:36 minutes, with the battle for the win looking virtually over.
The fight for second place and the podium instead will ignite. Vingegaard has lost 12 seconds plus bonifications to
Remco Evenepoel on the line, meaning he lost time to his rivals behind and will likely now focus on defending that position.
Isaac del Toro cracked on the penultimate climb of the day and lost almost one full minute to Evenepoel, meaning the Belgian moved up a position and is now in third place, 30 seconds behind Vingegaard. The gaps are then small behind, with Juan Ayuso 16 seconds behind, Paul Seixas 13 behind Ayuso, Florian Lipowitz 11 behind Seixas and Isaac del Toro 24 behind Lipowitz.
Lenny Martínez and Mattias Skjelmose remain in the fight for the Top5 whilst Tom Pidcock moved up three positions and into the Top10, winning Egan Bernal's position despite having crashed in one of the late descents.
