Timothy Dupont has taken victory on the opening stage of the 2024 Tour of Antalya in a bunch sprint finish in Turkey.
Four men formed the breakaway on the opening stage of the Tour of Antalya, but with 28km still to go, they were swallowed up by the bunch. Despite a late attack from Sebastian Reichenbach and Owen Geleijn, the bunch sprint was, as had been expected, the deciding factor.
In the race for the line, there was no one quicker than Timothy Dupont of Tarteletto - Isorex. The Belgian victorious with a photo finish required to separate the men behind.
