Heading into the final 15km, the break's advantage has slipped to just 45 seconds. With 5km to go, the catch looked imminent with just 13 seconds separating the leaders and the peloton and that's how things proved too, as with 2km to go, the catch was complete.
With a punchy, uphill finish, plenty of different rider types were fancying their chances. Thibau Nys opened things up. Marc Hirschi tried hard to get the
Lidl-Trek talent back but there was no let from Nys, who secured his second stage win in as many days.
