Super talent Isaac del Toro set to make a Grand Tour debut at Vuelta a Espana

Before the start of the season, UAE Team Emirates claimed that Isaac del Toro's debut professional season will be mainly about getting the hang of racing in the peloton at the highest level.

Yet back then the UAE bosses didn't know the 20-year-old Mexican would go on to a stage at Tour Down Under, top 5 GC at Tirreno-Adriatico, or win overall of Vuelta Asturias.

The winner of 2023 Tour de l'Avenir has been certainly making waves within the cycling world and with some riders seemingly out of shape or injured, Del Toro can ready himself for a Grand tour debut, it seems.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, the young Mexican will be present at the Gran Partida in Lisbon on August 17. UAE Team Emirates will likely bet on either Adam Yates or Joao Almeida for the general classification, but there should be enough opportunities for Del Toro to chase his own success too.
