CANYON//SRAM brought the breaking news on the Friday evening that their co-sponsor zondacrypto will disappear from the team's structure entirely with an immediate effect. This marks an end of a 20-month parternship which seems to have gone anything but smoothly and resulted in an abrupt termination of parternship with "breaches of contract" provided as an explanation.
The German women's team with a more than two-decade long tradition linked up with the Poland-based cryptocurrency exchange platform before the 2025 season, allowing the team to slowly expand its horizons in the rapidly growing world of women's cycling.
The current CANYON//SRAM is not only about Women's WorldTour team, but it also guides the young talents from across the world under its development team CANYON//SRAM Generation. The zondacrypto logo will disappear from team's identity completely by August 1 while teams will compete under new names starting with tomorrow's Giro d'Italia Women.
The elite team features a range of top-tier cyclists featuring one of the sport's superstars Kasia Niewiadoma, future star Zoe Bäckstedt or former time trial world champion Chloé Dygert among their ranks. With such high-profile names, it was naturally unacceptable to risk the brand's name by partnering with a sponsor whose commitment to the project was insufficient.

Words from manager

"We have respected all contractual obligations and legal procedures, but are now happy to draw a line and move forward. Our focus is entirely on what comes next," said Team Manager Ronny Lauke.
"Over many years, we have built a strong organisation backed by visionary partners, experienced staff, and talented riders who all believe in what this team stands for. For more than 10 years, we have proven on the world’s biggest stages that the team is built to perform at the highest level and built to last. That gives us even greater confidence moving forward."
"We are moving into this next chapter with huge excitement for what lies ahead. We are motivated to deliver on our ambitions this season and beyond, while continuing to shape the future of women’s cycling together."
