Stars on Mars: Lance Armstrong goes from summiting the Tourmalet to exploring the planet Mars

Excitement is in the air as the red planet beckons to a group of celebrities ready to explore the unknown! In an unprecedented new competition series, titled Stars on Mars, an incredible mix of actors, professional athletes, reality stars, entertainers and even McLovin ditch their glamorous red carpet looks for spacesuits. With Lance Armstrong among them.

With 12 celebrities transforming into astronauts and landing (in a simulation) on the planet Mars to face epic challenges given by William Shatner, the legendary Star Trek Captain Kirk. Each week, the famous contestants will vote to oust one of their number, until only one remains: the "celebronaut", if you will.

Lance Armstrong will be the competitor of note for cycling fans whilst also competing will be Natasha Leggero, a comedian, actress and writer known for hosting the reality show Rat in the Kitchen and starring in Another Period, is also joining the space adventure.

Former professional football running back and Super Bowl champion Marshawn Lynch, known for his appearance on The Great American Baking Show Celebrity Holiday special, will bring his energy to this unique challenge. Christopher Mintz-Plasse, the comedic actor recognized for his role as Fogell, aka McLovin, in Superbad, has also made his mark on this all-star team.

The list continues with Adam Rippon, former Olympic figure skater; Ronda Rousey, former professional wrestler and UFC star; Tom Schwartz, a television personality and restaurateur featured on Vanderpump Rules; Richard Sherman, former professional football cornerback for the Seattle Seahawks and sports analyst on Thursday Night Football plus more.
