The second stage of the Sibiu Cycling Tour was held on Sunday. Filippo Fiorelli (Bardiani CSF Faizane) secured the victory in the stage. The Italian rider was the fastest in the sprint. Nicolas Dalla Valle followed soon and finished second while Andrea Piccolo secured the 3rd position.
Six kilometers from the finish line, two Elkov-Kasper riders tried an unsuccessful attack, causing confusion in the peloton. Then the defending champion, Giovanni Aleotti, launched another attack which was also unsuccessful. A few hundred meters before the finish line, Riders started the sprint. Filippo Fiorelli managed to outpace other riders and cross the finish line first.

Filippo has also secured the top position in GC, thanks to his victory and now he will start third stage with yellow jersey on his shoulder. The first stage winner, Tim van Dijke now holds second positon in GC .
