25-year-old Spaniard, Roger Adrià will make the step up to World Tour level for the first time in his career in 2024 after securing himself a deal with BORA - hansgrohe.
"Roger is a diamond in the rough. He has already proven his talent with great results, but we think there is still a lot of potential in him," Rolf Aldag, Head of Sports at BORA - hansgrohe tells his team's official website as they announce their latest arrival. "We can help with that with our structure and tools, from training management to nutrition and equipment. We see him as a punchy climber. We'll find out together in the coming months about his climbing strengths in the high mountains."
Despite having just one career win to his name, stage 2 of La Route d'Occitanie in 2022, Adria has impressed over the past couple of years and in his most recent outing, the Spaniard secured a top-10 finish overall at the Arctic Race of Norway for Equipo Kern Pharma.
"Stepping into the WorldTour with BORA - hansgrohe is a dream come true," he says. "It’s a great team and the perfect one for me so I can keep taking steps forward. I’m really happy to be part of it.”
