The fifth stage of the Tour of Norway ended up being another complicated day where the GC riders were tested, but in the end no-one could top Remco Evenepoel as the Belgian sprinted to his third stage win in the space of five days.
Ben Healy was part of the day's breakaway and resisted until the final kilometers, and it was after him that the attacks came on the final hilltop in the final kilometers where Johannessen attacked the race and split the reduced peloton.
The group had severall attacks close down the gap to Healy, and in the final sprint Evenepoel showcased his recent explosiveness with another stage win, beating Tobias Johannessen and Luke Plapp to the line, and expanding his race lead.
