Remco Evenepoel posts first Strava activity after suffering injuries almost 1 month ago

Remco Evenepoel has now spent almost one entire month away from physical activity. In Spain, he's slowly returning to it and for the first time posted something on Strava, only days before learning if he will be able to already get back to the bike or not.
It was not a bike ride this time but a walk, 15 kilometers in length - or 16.3, according to himself who wrote that it wasn't tracked due to a GPS failure. The Belgian is in Spain at the moment, enjoying the good weather whilst northern Europe suffers through the harsh winter.
On his training accident, after hitting an opening van door about a month ago, the double Olympic Champion suffered fractures on his ribs, hand and shoulder blade; whilst also having torn ligaments in his shoulder, a dislocated collarbone and a lung contusion.

- When you say a weak field what do you mean by that ? There are only 2 other riders above him and arguably Remco is at least as good or better. He won the vuelta quite comfortably despite fracture in his vertebrae and performed his best numbers ever in some stages. His TT is pretty good and he can hold his own, obviously I don't think he's as good as tadej or Jonas yet he's up there.alsene06-01-2025
