The climber's race at the Challenge Mallorca. In the Spanish island there is a large flat area but also a mountain range which features some very popular ascents. The Trofeo Serra de Tramuntana every year goes through some of them, in a test for the climbers to test their form out of the off-season. We take a look at it's profile.

The race consists of 150 kilometers, with an unusual downhill start coming out of the town of Lluc. The riders will head on a loop including a flat section and then climb back up to town through a different ascent. There will be two climbs where initial attacks can come, before a highly technical descent of the Puig Maior.

Right off the descent, the riders climb up the Coll de Sóller which is 7.7 kilometers long at 5.6%, the last climb of the day that ends with 37 kilometers to go. The descent off it is short, but also extremely technical - having 24 hairpins in the space of just a few kilometers, putting Alpe d'Huez to shame!

The final 30 kilometers are mostly flat, and allow for regrouping and chasing from the larger groups. Hence, it will be an interesting dynamic. However even if attacks are cancelled, it does not mean there will be a bunch sprint. The final 400 meters will average 9% and are similar to the finale of Strade Bianche, with very narrow and technical roads where it's very hard to overtake anyone.
