Profile.
Scheldeprijs is one of the most prestigious races of the year when it comes to the sprinters. Despite not being a World-Tour level race, every spring many of the fastest men in the peloton gather in Belgium to ride the flat classic, this year taking place on the 5th of April.
The Belgian race is pan-flat, as is the case every year. This doesn't mean it's an easy however as quite frequently the strong winds and weather influence the result quite a lot. If that doesn't do it, the cobbled sectors could. The finale will see a three-lap circuit which includes a 1700-meter cobbled sector which concludes with 6.5 kilometers to go.
Estimated start and finish times for Scheldeprijs: 12:45 - 17:25CET.
