Profile. Following the Giro d'Italia, cycling fans will get their dose of mountain racing on the 30th of May with the Mercan'Tour Classic which takes place high in the Alpes Maritimes.

The race is short with only 167.5 kilometers on the menu however it will be quite a hard one. The first half of the Alpie race will be mostly flat, the second half anything but that. The riders tackle the Col de la Colmiane via a non-traditional side (7.6Km; 6.9%), the Col de la Couillole (15.9Km; 7.3) and finally a summit finish atop Valberg which features 7.2 kilometers at 7.3%. 4700 meters of climbing in a day where the purists will have an unusual opportunity to win a one-day race.
