The day following the Clásica San Sebastián, racing in the Basque Country continues. The Circuito de Getxo will take place on the 11th of August and features an explosive profile with lots of short and steep climbs and the iconic finale in the town of Getxo right by Bilbao. We take a look at it's profile.
The classic sees over 200 kilometers on the road in explosive and treacherous Basque roads. Another mixed day where climbers and puncheurs will take over the reigns but a lot can happen. The race sees a circuit with a few small but punchy climbs, but then in it's second half the riders will climb the Alto de Pike (2.1Km; 9.3%) which has been made even more famous by it's use on the opening day of the Tour de France.
