Wout van Aert and the
Giro d'Italia, a story that has been developing over the past few weeks and one that over the course of the upcoming months should be quite interesting to follow, as the Belgian may finally make his debut.
Having ridden the Tour de France on five consecutive occasions and no other Grand Tour, Wout van Aert may switch gears and try something new in 2024. He's already helped
Jumbo-Visma to two Tour de France titles, won the green jersey and nine stages in total. The pressure is no longer there for him to be a key part of the Tour team, and with the Olympic Games coming two weeks after the Tour, a few riders may skip the Tour in order to do some specific preparation.
