Poll & Discussion. Stage 1 of the Vuelta a Espana will be a team time-trial in Barcelona which will open up the fight for the overall classification, but also provide a beautiful spectacle.

The 14.9-kilometer long team time-trial will be putting the collectives to test but will not only serve as a warm-up to the rider, but also as a first battle for the overall classification. Whilst large gaps are not expected, seconds between some of the favourites are expected and it will set an order before the riders reach the mountains.

Jumbo-Visma and INEOS Grenadiers take the favouritism on the day, both carrying very strong specialists in the discipline. Whilst Jumbo has the likes of Primoz Roglic, Jonas Vingegaard and Dylan van Baarle, INEOS has powerhouse Filippo Ganna, Geraint Thomas and Thymen Arensman. Who do you think will win stage 1?
