"Not like the last two years where we just see Jumbo against UAE" - Tadej Pogacar welcomes Primoz Roglic's move to BORA - hansgrohe

The 2024 Tour de France looks to have the potential to be one of the best editions of the race in modern memory. One man sure to be in the thick of the action is Tadej Pogacar.

Unlike recent years however, it won't be all about Pogacar and his main rival Jonas Vingegaard. The last four editions of the Tour de France have gone to either Pogacar or Vingegaard with the pair sitting on the top two steps at the last three. In 2024 though, the likes of Remco Evenepoel and Primoz Roglic are expected to join the fight for the Maillot Jaune.

"I think it is good to have such a big competitor from all of the teams, not like the last two years where we just see Jumbo against UAE," Pogacar analyses in conversation with GCN, welcoming the extra challenge of his fellow Slovenian having left Jumbo-Visma for BORA - hansgrohe.

"I think Remco Evenepoel will also come to the Tour," he adds. "And a lot of other guys are stepping up also on a similar level. I think we can wait and see whether it will be the best Tour ever."
