Cian Uijtdebroeks will not be in action this year. The Visma | Lease a Bike rider announced on Instagram that he is ending his season.
The first season of Cian Uijtdebroeks in a Visma | Lease a Bike jersey was simply unsettling. Here and there there were promising results, but both the Giro and the Vuelta - the big goals of the year - turned out to be a disappointment: each time the young Belgian had to abandon the fight due to illness.
"My 2024 season is over," Uijtdebroeks now writes on Instagram. "I'm taking some rest and am currently working on some physical issues so I'm ready for 2025. I'm looking forward to building back up."
