Miguel Indurain moves to SCOTT bikes after fall-out with Pinarello after 32 years

Miguel Induráin left the Pinarello bicycle brand a few weeks ago because he did not feel comfortable with its new owners. The Navarrese had been loyal to the Italian brand for 32 years, but the fact of having to go from dealing with a family to dealing with a corporation did not please him at all.

Unsurprisingly, the five-time Tour de France winner has had a multitude of offers during this time and it was SCOTT that won the day. The Spaniard, who will compete in the Titan Desert endurance race, will do so aboard a SCOTT Scale RC.

Induráin spoke about his change, in a statement published by AS newspaper: "I've always liked SCOTT bikes and the latest road models attracted my attention. Their design, aesthetics and aerodynamic shape made me decide to take them".

From SCOTT, as is logical, they are delighted to have one of the best cyclists in history with them: "It is a great pride that one of the most important athletes in history joins the SCOTT family. Having the best Spanish cyclist wearing our new Foil RC makes us even more confident that we are doing a great job in every way. From the moment we contacted Miguel, we understood each other perfectly because behind the great athlete there is also a great person".
