Merhawi Kudus will continue his career at continental Terengganu Cycling Team. The 29-year-old rider from Eritrea with ten years worth of experience at the highest level will thus keep a lower profile in 2024, racing for the Malaysian team.
With the appointment of Kudus, the Terengganu Cycling Team closes its lineup for upcoming period. The Malaysian team has been a major stakeholder at the Asian continental scene, winning a total of 16 races, including the general classification of international race such as Tour de Taiwan, and a total of five national championships.
Kudus started his professional career in 2014 with MTN-Qhubeka after an internship with Bretagne - Séché Environnement the previous year. He then raced for Astana and EF Education-EasyPost. His list of achievements currently includes six professional victories, all while racing in Africa.
