He was one of the most combative riders there, securing a KOM jersey while racing in his native country Denmark and winning stage 10 from a breakaway before eventually being forced to drop out from the race.

For this season, the 30 years old EF Education-EasyPost rider was expected to make his debut in Challenge Mallorca at the end of this month. But he has been dealing with knee problems that forced him to postpone his debut.

“I have some problems with a knee that doesn't do what I want, for quite a while now. I don't know when I will start my season now. At least not here in Mallorca, which was the intention”, reveled Cort in an Instagram post on his personal page there.

The EF Education-EasyPost rider is one of the riders that team puts hopes in securing a stage win for this year's Giro d'Italia and Tour de France editions. “It's starting to feel better, and I'm already riding some laps with the guys here at the training camp, but after that I'll return home earlier but nothing is so bad that it is not good for anything” he concluded on his Instagram post, still not being sure when he will make his 2023 season debut.
