With a few more countries having their time-trial
national championships completed, this Friday afternoon has become quite eventful. Amongst the new national champions is
Mads Pedersen who will be wearing the colours of Denmark... In the time-trials.
Pedersen was the fastest out of all the men that raced in Aalborg this afternoon over 41 kilometers, beating Niklas Larsen and Kasper Asgreen whilst Johan Price-Pejtersen and Mikkel Bjerg struggled to be in the fight and didn't even finish on the podium. Rebecca Koerner won the women's race.
In Austria UAE Team Emirates - XRG has taken another win to their very successful season as
Felix Grossschartner comfortably beat the competition. Christina Scheinwberger won the women's race.
In Germany it was
Max Schachmann who took the victory for Soudal - Quick-Step, beating Miguel Heidemann and Lennard Kämna by 17 and 25 seconds respectively. António Niedermaier won the women's time-trial.
In Portugal
António Morgado took a second consecutive title in the time-trial, another UAE victory, as he beat Rafael Reis and teammate Ivo Oliveira against the clock. Ana Caramelo was the victor of the women's event.
