Lorena Wiebes wins second stage of the Baloise Ladies Tour

Lorena Wiebes won the second stage of the Baloise Ladies Tour. Mylene de Zoete finished second, and Amber van der Hulst secured the third position.

Marieke de Groot was the first to attack. She created a gap of around one minute from the peloton. She could not enjoy her lead for a long time as the peloton caught her 50 kilometers before the finish line. Valentina Scandolara and Typhaine Laurance attempted another attack but could not hold their lead for a long time.

Wiebes had the full support of her Team DSM teammates. She was the fastest to cross the finish line, followed by Mylene de Zoeteand, who secured silver. Dutchwoman Amber van der Hulst finished third.
