Both Logan Currie and Kim Cadzow can call themselves national champion after respective victories in the time-trial of the New Zealand National Championships in Timaru.
Currie, who rides for Lotto Dstny now, having moved from Bolton Equities Black Spoke over the off-season, took the win in the men's race against the clock by just 15 seconds from Burgos - BH's Aaron Gate, with one of the stars of the early 2024 season, Laurance Pithie of Groupama - FDJ, completing the podium in third place.
For the women, Cadzow was a much more dominant winner, taking the victory by over two minutes from second-placed Mikayla Harvey as Kate McCarthy completed the podium.
