Lidl-Trek have already been very busy in the transfer market, bringing in the likes of Tao Geoghegan Hart, Jonathan Milan, Andrea Bagioli, Patrick Konrad and Carlos Verona among others and according to HLN another addition could soon be announced.
The experienced, 34-year-old Soudal - Quick-Step man, Tim Declerq is the man rumoured to be joining Lidl-Trek according to HLN. Nicknamed 'the Tractor', Declerq is famed for his ability to ride on the front of the peloton and could be very important for controlling the breakaway on days that favour the likes of Mads Pedersen and Jonathan Milan.
Declerq was first signed by Soudal - Quick-Step back in 2017 and whilst he has never tasted victory himself, he has been key in many a successful day for Patrick Lefevere's lineup throughout the last six years.
The Belgian now joins an exodus from the Soudal - Quick-Step team however, with Ethan Vernon, Fabio Jakobsen and Mauro Schmid all among those to have departed.
