Julien Simon will continue to ride for TotalEnergies next year. The 38-year-old Frenchman, who had a difficult 2023, has extended his contract for one season.
Simon joined Total Direct Energie, as TotalEnergies was then called, in 2020. Last year he won three races with the Grand Prix du Morbihan, the Tour du Finistère and a stage in the Tour du Limousin. This season there was no personal success.
"I have not been spared from bad luck, such as falls and health problems...," says Simon. "The goal will be to be able to use my full potential again and to perform and win again quickly."
