With every passing race, more and more riders are returning to competitive action. At the upcoming Tour of Oman (February 8-12), UAE Team Emirates - XRG's Adam Yates will get his own 2025 campaign underway, returning to defend the title he won in 2024.

Last year, Yates took GC victory in Oman, finishing 19 seconds clear of Jan Hirt and 39 seconds clear of Finn Fisher-Black in the final general classification standings. As such, returning to action and returning to Oman is something very exciting for the 32-year-old Brit. “It’s always exciting to pin a number on again after a long break," he begins in a press release on UAE Team Emirates - XRG's official website.

"Obviously I’ve got great memories in Oman from what we did there last year. If we could repeat that it would be perfect but there will be competition no doubt," Yates continues his preview. "It’s a balanced team with Majka and Vine for the climbs and then some of the bigger guys for the flats and a chance too for the Gen Z guys to step-up and show themselves at this level. All-round I’m just keen to get things going and get racing.”
