Valentin Madouas started the Tour de Luxembourg with a stage victory. The French rider dominated the final climb and crossed the line first after a late attack to secure the stage win.

He launched a surprise attack on the final climb of the stage and he maintained the lead till the finish line. He is elated with his second victory in this season. "The team worked really great today. The plan was also to make the race hard. It was a tricky stage with a tough final," said Madouas.

He plans to defend the leader’s journey. "On the last climb I tried to open the attack. The legs are very good at the moment. There are still some nice stages to come in this tour.
