Isaac del Toro puts Giro heartbreak behind him with overall win at 2025 Tour of Austria; Bob Jungels takes incredible 40km+ solo win on final day

UAE Team Emirates - XRG's Isaac del Toro has secured the overall victory at the 2025 Tour of Austria, putting to bed the heartbreak of his penultimate stage loss at the Giro d'Italia earlier this year. On the final stage meanwhile, Bob Jungels took an incredible solo win.

After having been a part of the day's early breakaway, INEOS Grenadiers' Bob Jungels attacked his companions with around 43km to go of the day. It proved an inspired move by the former Luxembourg national champion as well, as Jungels, who many had expected to be part of the INEOS team's Tour de France lineup, entered the final 20km solo by more than two minutes ahead of his closest chaser Luca Vergallito, with the peloton almost three minutes down.  

With Jungels entering the final 5km with still more than two minutes lead, an incredible solo victory was secured. And with a lack of GC action behind, as with Del Toro's overall win too.
