For the first time since the 2022 Critérium du Dauphiné, David Gaudu crossed the line with his arms aloft in victory this Saturday afternoon at the Tour du Jura.
Just a day after finishing third behind his young teammate, Lenny Martinez at the Classic Grand Besançon Doubs, Gaudu continued Groupama - FDJ's strong performances in the France this season with a powerful victory at the Tour du Jura courtesy of a brutal attack on the final climb that left rivals such as Guillaume Martin in his dust.
"I didn't ask myself any questions. To regain confidence, you have to let yourself go," the 27-year-old Frenchman reflected post-stage. "I emptied my mind and put everything in. Thanks to the team."
