On the 17th of September 2025, the peloton in Belgium will tackle one of its most iconic late-season classics. It is the day of the GP de Wallonie, the famous one-day race which finishes atop the Citadelle de Namur. Find the startlist for the race right here!
Last year’s edition of the GP de Wallonie produced a thrilling finale, with Roger Adrià (Red Bull - BORA - hansgrohe) taking a gruelling victory ahead of fellow Spaniard Alex Aranburu. The race saw an aggressive day of racing, with a strong early breakaway and a dangerous counter-attack featuring the likes of Arnaud De Lie, Biniam Girmay, Quinten Hermans and Jake Stewart, though the peloton quickly closed things down. In the closing kilometres, Georg Zimmermann and Mads Würtz Schmidt looked set to snatch the win as they built a sizeable gap, but Zimmermann was dramatically reeled in within the final kilometre. That set up a reduced sprint on the climb to the Citadel of Namur, where Adrià had the strength to edge Aranburu in a nail-biting photo finish.

- It's not a big blow for Pogacar. Today, Pogacar relies on a close, increasingly Slovenian circle of experts. Among them, the central figure is his longtime friend Ziga Jerman, who took on the role of masseur in 2025. Jerman has known Pogačar since before his global fame, when they cycled together at the Ljubljana club Rog, so Elguezabal’s departure does not pose a threat for Pogi but rather marks the end of a very successful chapter. First, Remco must graduate from high school with excellent results to meet with the professor Pogacar in university and to be in same room with him.
