As revealed in the presentation of the 2024 Giro d'Italia and 2024 Giro d'Italia Women, the Giro Donne is no more. RCS have revealed a change of name of the women's fight for the Maglia Rosa.
Due to late changes the presentation has been postponed however, the race organisation has announced but it is likely that more details will follow by the end of the month. It is already known that the Giro d'Italia Women will take place from July 7 to 14 in 2024.
The Giro d'Italia women will also be only eight stages long, compared to nine stages last year. Finally, a brand new trophy was also presented. This trophy, which should represent an infinity loop, will be awarded from 2024 to the final winner of the Giro d'Italia Women 2024.
